Africa-Press – Tanzania. The Minister of Culture, Arts, and Sports, Paul Makonda, has presented the national flag to the Dar City basketball team, symbolizing Tanzania’s representation in the prestigious Basketball Africa League (BAL) tournament in South Africa.
Speaking at the team’s farewell event today, March 23, in Dar es Salaam, Minister Makonda emphasized the government’s confidence in the ability of Dar City players to perform well and proudly represent Tanzania in the tournament. He urged the players to uphold discipline, unity, and patriotism to achieve their goals.
In response, the Dar City players pledged to give their best efforts to secure strong results and honorably represent Tanzania in the competition.
The team departed today for South Africa to begin final preparations ahead of the BAL tournament, which features top clubs from across the African continent.
