Africa-Press – Tanzania. MANIPAL Academy of Higher Education (MAHE Dubai) has extended an academic invitation to Tanzanian students seeking internationally recognised qualifications, following the official launch of the Study in Dubai campaign by Akili Education in Dar es Salaam this week.
The launch event, held at the Akili Education Headquarters on the 7th Floor of Tanzanite Park, Victoria, brought together stakeholders from the education sector, the media, and representatives of international universities.
Among the distinguished guests was Esperance Malabeja, the Africa Representative for Manipal Dubai, who provided an in-depth overview of the institution’s heritage, academic strength, and its growing footprint within the Tanzanian student community.
Global Legacy, Local Impact Addressing the audience, Esperance described Manipal Dubai as “a global academic hub built on more than 70 years of Manipal’s education legacy from India.”
She noted that the Dubai campus now hosts students from over 50 nationalities, creating a multicultural environment that prepares graduates for modern global careers.
She further revealed that the university currently accommodates more than 20 Tanzanian students and more from other African countries, a number expected to grow as Dubai continues to attract East African learners due to its proximity, safety, and work-study flexibility.
Akili Education: Bridging Tanzanians to Global Opportunities In his address, Felician Chizelema, Managing Director of Akili Education, reaffirmed the organisation’s mission to provide accurate information and accessible pathways for Tanzanian families seeking quality international education.
Chizelema explained that Akili Education’s recent working tours to India and Dubai demonstrated how both destinations have become strong centres for modern education, technology, and international employment.
Kitenge: Time for Tanzania to Think Beyond Borders During the event, Akili Education’s brand ambassador Maulid Kitenge issued a strategic recommendation to the Government of Tanzania regarding the future of higher education abroad.
