Africa-Press – Tanzania. THE Matokeo Education Institute seeks to transform the education system in the country by providing high-quality, inclusive, and easily accessible programmes to meet the needs of learners at various levels, as well as the wider community.
This was said in a discussion held between the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Prof Carolyne Nombo and the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Matokeo Education Institute, Rakshita Vaya in Dodoma.
The discussions aimed at discussing improvements of the country’s education system.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed academic guidance for primary and secondary school students, which will enable them to make informed career pathway choices and future decisions using non-digital approaches.
Additionally, they also discussed the importance of providing financial literacy education to students through both digital and non-digital methods, in order to equip them with the skills needed to make sound financial decisions.
Moreover, their discussions highlighted continuous professional development tools for teachers, with an emphasis on the use of data analytics to improve the planning and implementation of such training in line with teachers’ actual needs.
