Africa-Press – Tanzania. Mozambican President Filipe Nyusi has today laid a foundation stone at a zonal referral hospital in Chato expected to serve approximately 14 million people in five regions of Kagera, Kigoma, Tabora, Rukwa, Geita and parts of Shinyanga and Mwanza regions.
Speaking after laying the hospital’s foundation stone at Kilela earlier today, President Filipe Nyusi said health is a vital sector for any government that cares for the health of its people.
President Filipe Nyusi, also the Chairman of the Southern African Development Community (SADC) praised President John Magufuli for being “a good example of leadership” for efforts in developing his country by addressing challenges in such sectors as water energy, food, and quality health.
President Magufuli promised to ensure completion of the hospital project as soon as possible.
