Africa-Press – Tanzania. President Samia Suluhu Hassan urged Sunday the public to take preventive measures against the coronavirus pandemic amidst a painstaking report from a special technical committee on the matter.
President Samia who has publicly vowed to sustain everything good about her predecessor, President John Magufuli and introduce fresh projects said she has already formed a special technical committee to advise her on the public health crisis.
“As the committee is working… I urge the cleric to ensure their worshippers abide by the public health advice,” she said highlighting such measures including the use of face masks, social distancing and regularly washing hands.
The President spoke in Dodoma during a thanksgiving service in honour of former President John Magufuli, an occasion also used to pray for the nation.
