Africa-Press – Tanzania. PRESIDENT Samia Suluhu Hassan has maintained that the sixth phase government will still support leaders, who embrace good morals, ethics and as well promote justice in public offices.

She took the stance in her message to participants of a seminar organised by Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) Same District for the government leaders at the village levels. Delivering her speech, Kilimanjaro Regional Commissioner (RC) Stephen Kagaigai, further commended the area regional leadership for organising the training, saying it would bring a major change in performance of the leaders.

In his presentation after delivering President Samia’s message, Mr Kagaigai said the workshop was aimed at reminding the leaders of their responsibilities in serving the public.

“You cannot separate CCM from the government since the government implements the party’s election manifesto 2015-2025,” he said. Mr Kagaigai further said that the implementation of the ongoing strategic projects, citing them as in health, education, road and water are part of the village leaders responsibilities to closely monitor.

“You must know that you are part and parcel of ensuring that these projects are implemented in your areas as expected, and effectively conduct time to time monitorings,” he said.

He added: “You have a major responsibility to ensure that the implementation of these projects goes smoothly and if you experience any challenge(s) report them to the relevant authorities so that things do not get stuck.”
