Africa-Press – Tanzania. THE Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) Presidential candidate, Dr Samia Suluhu Hassan, has assured Tanga residents that her government will see the completion of the construction of an international fish market in Pangani worth 1.3bn/-.
Dr Samia made the vow in her campaign meeting in Pangani District today, elaborating that the market that will be built in Kipumbwi Ward will play a pivotal role in increasing income for fishermen and traders as well as boosting the economy.
She also promised to improve the livestock and fishing sectors in the region to make them more modern and internationally competitive.
Moreover, the Presidential candidate pledged that if re-elected as President, she will complete the construction of the road connecting Bagamoyo district to Tanga and finalize the road in sections between Pangani, Saadani, and Makurunge.
The Presidential candidate of the United Republic of Tanzania from Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM), Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, told residents of Pangani in Tanga Region that when she appointed the area’s Member of Parliament, Jumaa Aweso, as Minister for Water, she entrusted him with the responsibility of addressing the country’s water supply challenges.
Touting her policies, Dr Samia explained the various achievements made by her government since she came into power, which include addressing water challenges in the country.
She noted that currently, the national water access has reached over 80 percent while promising to completely end water woes if given another chance.
