Africa-Press – Tanzania. The European Union Military Assistance Mission in Mozambique (EUMAM MOZ) today, 29 September, welcomed Colonel Peace Martin Kapello, Defence Attaché of Tanzania, to its headquarters.
He was received by the EUMAM MOZ Force Commander, Commodore César Pires Correia. The meeting provided an opportunity to present the mission, its objectives and the ongoing activities with the Mozambican Armed Defence Forces (FADM).
This meeting underlined the importance of international cooperation and dialogue in strengthening peace, stability and security in Mozambique and across the region.
EUMAM MOZ is a non-executive mission with a mandate until June 2026, focusing on the operational training cycle and maintenance, as well as delivering specialised training to enable the Mozambican Armed Defence Forces (FADM) to become self-sufficient in combating insurgency. The European Union mission currently includes service members from 11 different nations.
