Africa-Press – Tanzania. TANZANIA’S Ambassador-designate to France and Permanent Representative to UNESCO, Said Yakubu, has held talks with the organization’s Resident Representative, Michel Toto, to discuss areas of cooperation between Tanzania and UNESCO.
The discussions focused on gaining a deeper understanding of the existing relationship and ongoing collaboration frameworks between Tanzania and UNESCO, as well as addressing key issues that will support Ambassador Yakubu in effectively executing his responsibilities in the role.
Speaking after the meeting, Ambassador Yakubu expressed appreciation for the opportunity to engage with Toto, noting that he had gained valuable insights from his extensive experience within the organization. He also received UNESCO’s 2024 activity report for Tanzania, which is expected to inform his work.
For his part, Toto congratulated Ambassador Yakubu on his appointment and wished him success in his new assignment in Paris, France.
