Africa-Press – Tanzania. THE Minister for Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation, Ambassador Mahmoud Thabit Kombo, has received credentials from the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain to Tanzania, Paloma Robles at the Ministry’s sub-offices in Dar es Salaam.

Speaking shortly after receiving the credentials, Mr Kombo congratulated the ambassador on her appointment and assured her of the government’s full cooperation throughout her tenure in Tanzania.

Moreover, the minister expressed gratitude to the government of Spain for its cooperation with Tanzania in the various sectors of agriculture, tourism, health, mining, electricity distribution, and water, noting that this support has contributed to the development of the country as well as boosting the national income.

For her part, Spain’s ambassador to Tanzania suggested that Tanzania and Spain could develop special youth development programs for the benefit of youth in both countries.

In another development, Minister Kombo also bid farewell to the outgoing Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Tanzania, Wiebe de Boer, whose term of service has come to an end.

In their discussion, Mr Kombo told the outgoing ambassador that Tanzania will continue to maintain strong diplomatic relations with the incoming ambassador to ensure the successful achievement of development goals for both countries.

On his part, Ambassador De Boer expressed his satisfaction with the growth of cooperation between Tanzania and the Netherlands and thanked the government for the support he received throughout his four-year tenure since August 2021.
