Africa-Press – Tanzania. DAR ES SALAAM: Vice President Philip Mpango has called for greater youth involvement in drafting Tanzania’s new National Development Vision of 2025-2050.
Speaking at the inaugural conference in Dar es Salaam, Dr. Mpango emphasized the importance of including the youth, citing the 2022 population and housing census, which indicates the group forms the largest population in the country.
Their participation, he noted, is crucial for shaping a future that meets their aspirations and harnesses their potential for national development.
According to the population and housing census, youth and children aged between 0-35 years are 77.5 percent thus for the next 25 years the group must be prioritized.
