AfricaPress-Tanzania: PRESIDENT John Magufuli has revealed that his government set aside 32bn/- to tackle floods in some parts of Dar es Salaam.
Addressing hundreds of Kawe residents who attended his campaign at Tanganyika Packers grounds on Wednesday, President Magufuli said the government is taking the problem seriously and it plans to control a famous seasonal flooding river ‘Mto Ng’ombe’ in Dar es Salaam.
Dr Magufuli advised citizens to observe environmental laws; that prohibit people to build houses in margin areas including river banks.
