The money is intended to help Ms Msagati set up an income generating business and complete construction of other rooms which are intended for renting.
Mr Majaliwa’s support to Ms Msagati came after he heard her requesting for his support through a television programme ‘Wape Nafasi’ broadcast by Tanzania Broadcasting Corporation (TBC1) and by Presenter Tuma Dandi.
After ten months, Ms Msagati now owns a two-bedroom house together with a frame for her business worth 47.32m/- with a title deed for a 1200 square meters’ land.
“I am overwhelmed with what I am witnessing today; it has gone way beyond my expectations. This is proof that our government appreciates all Tanzanians with special needs; and that is why they also have employment opportunities,” he said.
He further stated that it is not only the government which is meant to support people with disabilities, but any person has an obligation to offer assistance to the needy.
Premier Majaliwa also applauded Mr Dandi who selflessly decided to bring forth people with needs, as well as the local government and the community at large for coming together to help those in need.
“This government is compassionate to all Tanzanians regardless of their conditions,” he emphasised.
On the other hand, Tanga Regional Commissioner (RC), Martin Shigella expressed gratitude to all people who participated to ensure completion of the project.
A journalist with Tanzania Broadcasting Cooperation (TBC), Mr Tuma Dandi who interviewed Ms Msagati appreciated all that was done to successfully complete the project he helped to start.
Ms Msagati, however, expressed her deepest gratitude to President Magufuli, the VP, Premier Majaliwa and other stakeholders for considering the plight of needy people.
She said Tanzania has been gifted with a good leader who is concerned about people with special needs, pledging to continue praying for him.
