AfricaPress-Tanzania: AAR Insurance Tanzania Limited has launched the smart health system, an advanced medical insurance system which improves client’s services and its operations.

The launching event held in Dar es Salaam over the weekend attended by brokers was used as a platform to provide more information on the functionalities and benefits of the system which was introduced in 2020.

Speaking to the press, AAR Insurance’s Chief Operating Officer, Dr Emmanuel Bwana said that the company utilises the advancement of technology to ensure that their clients are efficiently and conveniently provided with the best health services.

“This step is part of our endless contribution in health sector to support efforts by the government and other stakeholders in ensuring accessibility of quality health insurance to every citizen,” he said.

“Smart health system enables sales agents and brokers to sale insurance products and issues quotations on the real time environment while sitting in front of the client.

Therefore, there will be no more need for the agent or broker to call back AAR contact person to get a quote,” he added.

According to Dr Bwana with the help of the system, clients can access an integrated smart health application and get various information which include claim history and benefits available, but not limited to service providers which he or she can access.

An attendee, Mr Peter Sekidia who is a broker, commended AAR Insurance for introducing the system which he said will increase efficiency in dealing with clients, because its features enable quick handling of service providers claims, quick verification of members from the providers, member reimbursement, as well as quick quotation generations.

“This event made me see a brighter day of the health sector, everything is now simplified, and every health stakeholder will enjoy the benefits of the system. We commend AAR Insurance for introducing this system. Surely, it will improve lives of many people in the country and worldwide,” he said.

The step by AAR Insurance Company to introduce smart health system reflects the world’s effort to having a fully functioning e-health system.
