CRDB Bank posts 64bn/- net profit

CRDB Managing Director, Abdulmajid Nsekela says the bank has registered a remarkable performance 2018 and expecting to sustain profit making the pace this year.

The bank’s net profit in 2018 increased by 78 per cent to 64bn/-, from 36bn/- in 2017.

Moreover, CRDB managed to lower non-performing loans to 8.5 per cent from 12.6 percent.

Speaking in Dar es Salaam on Friday, Mr Nsekela added the bank is determined to reach more customers in the rural area using alternative financial channels such as agent banking ‘FahariHuduma’ and digital banking ‘Simbanking’.

He says FahariHuduma agents have gone up to more than 5,500 in 2018 from 3,500 in 2017.
