AfricaPress-Tanzania: TANZANIANS have been advised to take advantage of the National Social Security Fund (NSSF), housing projects so that they can live in decent houses.
“I urge Tanzanians to take advantage of the presence of these houses for sale and rent to live in the best housing that the NSSF offers,” said NSSF Director General, William Erio.
He was speaking during a visit to the Fund’s project at Dungu area, in Kigamboni District, over the weekend.
A total of 99 houses have been constructed at the area, of which 55 houses have been rented to various citizens, 10 houses have been handed over to the Kigamboni District Council and Security Committee and 16 others have been handed over to the department heads.
He said the housing project has been completed since the end of last year, following the instructions of President John Magufuli.
The NSSF has also allocated 15 houses for renting to various needy people at affordable prices.
“These houses are as beautiful, so everyone who needs planning is welcome,” he said.
Erio explained that the price of renting the houses approved by the Treasurer is between 250,000/-to 500,000/-, where the client can pay a month, three months to a year depending on the type of house. In addition, he has said that there is a service charge of 100,000/-.
NSSF Acting Investment Director, Augustino Paul, has invited the public to go for houses in Kigamboni and Tuangoma as the price is good at renting.
According to the manager, the Corporation owns 76 houses in Toangoma which are for sale and rented to the public.
He said the apartments are being rented at fees ranging between 350,000/-and 400,000/-per month.
Augustino said the NSSF also has 33 houses on the Mtoni Kijichi for renting at between 400,000/-and 500,000/-.
He said all houses are modern and have all amenities, and that all citizens are welcome to take advantage of the opportunity.
