137 BILLION TO STRENGTHEN PRIMARY AND SECONDARY SCHOOLS

AfricaPress-Tanzania: THE GOVERNMENT through the Pay for Results Project (EP4R) plans to allocate 137 billion shillings to all councils in the country for the improvement of primary and secondary school infrastructure in 2020/2021.

This was stated by the Minister of Education, Science and Technology, Prof Joyce Ndalichako in Kasulu during the awards ceremony for schools, teachers and students who did well in the national examinations for grades four, seven, form two and four held in Kigoma region. .

Minister Ndalichako said the government will continue to ensure that it invests more in the education sector to address infrastructure challenges and enable students to study in a better environment and facilitate teaching and learning.

“There are people who have been complaining about the challenges of education, I would like to assure you that the Government is working to address the challenges in the education sector, and here in Kasulu I am happy that in enrollment this year no child was left due to lack of classes,” said Ndalichako
