CCM ASPIRANT PLEDGES ELECTRICITY TO 56 VILLAGES

AfricaPress-Tanzania: ILEMELA Parliamentary candidate, Dr Angelina Mabula (CCM), has promised power connection to 56 villages in Ilemela districts if she will be reelected on October 28th General Election.

She made the commitment while addressing residents at Ilemela primary school grounds in Ilemela Ward as part of her campaigns, noting that the Municipality had already received 12 bn/- for the project.

Dr Mabula further disclosed that they have managed to connect power to various streets in the municipality.

She noted that the CCM government has set aside 151m/- for the construction of several roads to tarmac level in Ilemela ward, namely Ilemela – Mahakamani, MajengoMapya- Lumala, and Pasiansi- Kiseke.

On education sector, Dr Mabula noted that Ilemela Municipal has received 10bn/- for free education in primary schools and 7bn/- for secondary schools, adding that plans were underway to construct one classroom in each of the three primary schools.

She further pledged to construct 10 pit latrines at Mwenge and MjiMwema primary schools in Nyamanoro ward.

However, Dr Mabula said the council has set aside 44m/- for renovation of Mwambani and Lumala secondary schools.

On his part, Ilemela ward CCM councilor aspirant, Mr Wilbard Kilenzi said they have settled land disputes in Nyakuguru, Mwambani and Bukengwa streets, and that 3bn/- has been paid to them.

He added that a total of 1260 residents were able to formalise their plots. Mr Kilenzi added that the council has set aside 60m/- for the completion of Lumala health centre.
