AfricaPress-Tanzania: IF today is International Women’s Day, the Government of Tanzania has said it will continue to provide opportunities and greater confidence in women and girls in leadership positions.
This was stated today by the Chief Government Spokesperson, Dr. Hassan Abbasi where he said the government will continue to provide opportunities for women in politics and in public institutions as they have always shown love, hard work, patriotism, seriousness and noble implementation.
He said women have continued to break the record of holding senior leadership positions in the country including Vice President, Samia Suluhu and Engineer Zena Ahmed who is currently the first woman to be the Chief Secretary and Secretary of the Zanzibar Revolutionary Council.
