AfricaPress-Tanzania: The President of Zanzibar, Dr Hussein Mwinyi has today, April 8, 2021, arrived in Maputo, ready to attend an extraordinary SADC Summit  to discuss security crisis in Mozambique.

Dr Hussein represents President Samia Suluhu Hassan in a one-day summit which involves heads of state of the SADC member states.

The summit will be centred on security and counter-terrorism measures for its member state.

They expect  to plan the way forward after insurgents attacked Cabo Delgado again last month.

The SADC has already expressed that it was deeply concerned about the continued terrorist attacks in the region, even after the military claimed that it had regained control of the Coastal town of Palma.

The Extraordinary Double Troika Summit will be preceded by the Extraordinary Organ Troika Summit which will also take place today (April 8, 2021).
