NRA PARTY ASSURES FREE FOOD IN PUBLIC HEALTH FACILITIES

AfricaPress-Tanzania: THE Isles Presidential candidate of the National Reconstruction Alliance (NRA) party, Khamis Faki Mgau, has pledged to enhance free health care, along with providing free food to admitted patients in all public hospitals if his party wins the October General Election.

He called on Tanzanians to vote for his party saying “we are prepared to serve you better. You will no longer need to carry food to hospitals or buy from vendors; the government will provide free medical care along with provision of meals on a daily basis.”

Addressing members and supporters of NRA and the public at large at Mjini Municipality, as part of the ongoing election campaigns, Mr Mgau said that despite noticeable achievements in improving the health sector under the current regime, there were still some gaps in service delivery and many patients admitted in hospitals were facing the problem of food.

He also said that medical staff should expect improved welfare and favorable working condition if his party wins the forthcoming election.

Meanwhile, the Democratic Party (DP) Presidential Candidate for Zanzibar, Mr Shafii Hassan Suleiman said that he sees no reason for voters not to endorse him for the presidency because he has all qualities of a good leader.

“We have the best manifesto to move Zanzibar forward, one that will benefit all economically and socially. We need to promote small businesses with small tax in our next government if elected president,” Mr Suleiman said at a campaign rally held here.

He thanked outgoing President Ali Mohamed Shein for good work, and that DP is the best choice to replace Shein and sustain the good work and improve areas that still have gap
