AfricaPress-Tanzania: AZAM stamped three major records yesterday in their hard earned 1-0 win over Tanzania Prisons at Nelson Mandela stadium in Sumbawanga.

The victory makes record, a 360-minute clean sheet as they haven’t conceded in all four matches they have played, while again it was the first team to win all four matches of the league staged at both home and away venues.

By posting 12 points after the yesterday’s victory, makes them the first team to pen a double-digit in points earning.

They have beaten Kinondoni Municipal Council(KMC) who also won three matches consequently before losing their fourth match to Kagera Sugar.

While Dodoma Mji, whose dream to win the fourth match was shattered yesterday after a 3-0 loss to Polisi Tanzania at Ushirika stadium in Moshi yesterday.

It was the Zimbabwean import Prince Dube who brightened Azam yesterday when his 89th minute strike helped Azam to beat Tanzania Prisons.

It was an outstanding performance for both teams, both teams showed quality but with strong defense lines and goalies, it was difficult for both teams to score.

Police Tanzania secured a 3-0 win over Dodoma Jiji at Ushirika Stadium in Moshi.

Police Tanzania goals were netted by Marcel Kaheza who scored a brace in the 11th and 61st minutes; and the ex-Young African striker Tariq Seif in the 38th minute.

Meanwhile, The natural grass at Jamhuri Stadium in Morogoro will be on fire today when Mtibwa Sugar host Young Africans in a Premier League match that might look like a bull fight.

Both teams will be searching for maximum three points to continue ascending on the league ladders hence; one is expected to watch a good game unfolding at the venue.

Yanga Head Coach Zlatko Krmpotic is looking to maintain the unbeaten run in the contest after guiding his charges to two wins and one draw he stamped against Tanzania Prisons in his first league encounter in Dar es Salaam.

His first victory was against Mbeya City (1-0) whereby his side laboured to earn a late winner, courtesy of a glancing header by defender Lamine Moro, while the second success was also another slim 1-0 win over Kagera Sugar thanks to Tonombe Mukoko late strike.

It will be the fourth match of the unfolding campaign for both teams, which are desperate to stamp a win and be able to move up on the log as the marathon towards the league title gains pace.

On the other hand, hosts Mtibwa Sugar have had a good record whenever facing Yanga at Jamhuri Stadium and they have another chance to continue their dominance tomorrow.

They played well in their 1-1 draw against defending champions Simba after coming from one goal down to claim one point from the tough duel.

Mtibwa coach Zuberi Katwila said they are preparing to outclass Yanga and that his side will employ every possible technique to make sure that they claim all points from the visitors.

“We have started the campaign positively as such, we have to continue posting good results for the momentum in the team among players to scale up which at the end will help to give us the results we need,” he said.

He added that their season’s target is to do better to surpass the achievement they posted last term while lauding the contribution made by the new players he signed to beef his squad for this league season.

On his part, former Yanga and Simba player Hassan Kessy, who is among the new players at Mtibwa Sugar, said he expects a difficult game against his ex-employer.

He, however lamented that the reason he decided to return home from Zambian side Nkana FC was the expiry of his contract which was not renewed as such, instead of just staying idle, he opted to link up with the Morogoro side.
