AfricaPress-Tanzania: YOUTHFUL Black Sailor stunned Isles League giants KVZ with a 1-0 victory in a thrilling match held here at Amaan stadium.
The thrilling match saw the score remain 0-0 until the end of the first half despite seeing several raids on the both sides right from the start. It took Black Sailor just ten minutes after resumption to score the winner.
Striker Ayub Boniface Kaheke netted Black Sailor’s winner in the 55th minute after a combination. KVZ worked hard in a hunt for an equalizer, but none of their carefully planned raids paid off until the end of the 90 minutes.
At Mao Zedong here, Kipanga and JKU fought to a barren draw in another Isles Premier League game. Both teams wasted many scoring chances in the both halves.
After the Wednesday’s results, the draw has promoted Kipanga to the third position while JKU who have reaped 17 points after the draw are now sixthplaced 17 points.
The victory has promoted Black Sailor to the fifth position after hauling 18 points. Prior to their match with KVZ , Black Sailor were glued to the 7th position.
KVZ have remained second after collecting 20 points. Isles Premier League resumes today when the defending champions KMKM host Zimamoto at Amaan Stadium.
