AfricaPress-Tanzania: PUGILISTS Ibrahim Class and Dennis Mwale of Malawi on Wednesday got into a war of words when they met during a weigh in exercise before their Rumble in Dar fight tomorrow.

Class and Mwale will battle it out for the WBF intercontinental championship at the Next Door Arena, Dar es Salaam, a battle that will be preceded by eight under cards fights.

The two boxers will today attend the weigh-in as well as medical examination to be witnessed by WBF president Howard Goldberg as well as Scott Farrell who is the chief executive officer of Global Boxing Stars (GBS) and the bout sponsors Onomo Hotel, CRDB Bank and Tanzania Tourist Board (TTB).

Speaking on Wednesday, Mwale said he is not in Tanzania for a holiday rather than fighting against Class and his target is to win the title belt. Malawian said he respects Class’ good record in the game with experience in the ring, but that won’t help him from ending his unbeaten record.

“I will dismantle Class in front of his fans, that is undisputed, I didn’t come to Tanzania for a holiday, I am here to fight and win. I have fought hard to reach this level and now I am among the best international boxers,” said Mwale.

On his part, Class said it would not be possible for him to lose at the home ground and asked all Tanzanian to flock at the venue to give him support.

“I have trained hard and I am sure to win at a home venue. I won’t let down Tanzanians, please give me support by coming at the venue,” said Class.

The boxers’ fight will be witnessed by Kubrat Pulev, a boxer who lost against Anthony Joshua in the WBA, IBF, WBO and IBO championship belts. Kubrat has been accompanied by his younger brother, Tervel who will fight against Vikapita Merero of Namibia.

“We have come to fight and win, in our family we do not have a big or small fight, that’s why my younger brother has never been beaten, and apart from Anthony Joshua, I have never lost a fight, so we are going to continue that history on Tanzanian soil,” said Kubrat.

The chief executive officer of the Jackson Group Sports Agency, who has organised the fight, Kelvin Twissa said all preparations for the fight are complete and everything is in place.

“Preparations are complete, and this will be the first time in the history to see senior boxers from different countries coming to fight here. Other boxers who will be on the ring are Ardi Ndembo of DR Congo who will face Tanzanian Pascal Enock in heavyweight bout, Happy Daudi will exchange blows with Zambian Lolita Ndembo in superweight while Saidi Mrosso will be in action against Gomatsang Gaasite of Botswana.

Also in the list are Jacob Maganga who will fight Hafidhi David while Nasibu Ramadhani will fight Nkosinati Biyana from South Africa, Stumai Muki will fight against Zimbabwean Revai Madondo and Shaaban Jongo will play Shawn Miller of the United States for the WBF International title.
