AfricaPress-Tanzania: NYAMAGANA District Football Association (NDFA) has officially announced February 6, this year as the date for the association’s general election.
Speaking to the ‘africa-press’ yesterday, MZFA election committee chairman, Joseph Madukwa said he has asked football stakeholders in Nyamagana district to come forward and pick nomination forms at the association’s office in Nyamagana Ward.
According to Madukwa, the forms which have been issued since Friday are set to be returned on Monday to give enough room for verification exercise to be held on Tuesday at NDFA offices.
He said the positions being contested are the Chairman, Vice Chairman, Secretary General, assistant secretary general, Treasurer, Member of the general assembly, Member of clubs representative, members of the Executive Committee(three position) and a representative of Women’s football.
According to him, 27th January will be the date to receive and place objections to candidates while from 28th January this year the election committee will sit to review various objections.
Madukwa said February 4 would be a period of appeal against the NDFA election committee to the Mwanza Regional Football Association (MZFA) election appeals committee and insisted that the elections will be free and fair .
