Africa-Press – Uganda. The stage is set for an electrifying kickboxing contest as Mbale’s own Hashim “Blackwolf” gears up to face Kenyan challenger Alex Maina at Jenga Gym.
Today, the two fighters underwent the mandatory pre-bout procedures — weigh-in, medical examination, and the traditional face-off — in front of an eager crowd of fans and trainers.
Both passed the medical checks and made weight, paving the way for the highly anticipated clash.
Blackwolf, representing Mbale City Kickboxing Club, tipped the scales at 66kg, while Maina from HRON Kickboxing Club Nairobi came in at 68kg. The fight will be contested in the 67–68kg professional category.
Speaking after the weigh-in, Blackwolf exuded confidence, promising to give the home crowd “a fight to remember.”
Maina, who traveled from Kenya for the bout, said he was equally prepared and looking forward to deliver a knockout blow to Blackwolf.”
“Tomorrow I’m beating the Kenyan to pulp,” he said. “I hope he’s brought an ambulance to take him back home.” Blackwolf said
“To all my fellow Kenyans, tomorrow I’ll be knocking out Blackwolf — point blank,” he said. “He’s faking confidence, but I can see the fear in his eyes.”

The bout has generated excitement among kickboxing enthusiasts in the Elgon region, with Jenga Gym expected to be packed to capacity tomorrow evening (Saturday 16 August 2025).
Promoters say the fight is part of a broader effort to boost professional kickboxing in the region and give local fighters international exposure.
Fans are promised an action-filled night, with several undercard bouts also lined up before the main event.
The event will be presided over by Uganda Kickboxing federation.
