Africa-Press – Uganda. The Leader of Opposition Mathias Mpuuga’s term of office will expire on December 15th, 2023.
Preparations and speculations are already in motion in the political landscape in anticipation of whether his term will be renewed or someone else will be appointed to the Office.
The Office of the Leader of Opposition is not without its challenges however Mpuuga has steadfastly navigated his term of office.
Betty Aol Ochan, one who has occupied the office before, revealed that the Office is not as juicy as people think.
“Hon Mpuuga is competent but there are other competent leaders in NUP but it all depends on the party’s decision.”
Betty emphasized the pivotal role of a well-structured and executed transition plan to mitigate potential hurdles.
