This ecosystem of public agencies, private sector innovators, and civil society organizations was the driving force behind the event, with each partner providing invaluable expertise to create a holistic platform for transformative discussions.

We thank the Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) for providing the regulatory framework and the National Information Technology Authority – Uganda (NITA-U) for championing the national digital transformation agenda.
A digital economy is built on skilled human capital, and we are proud to have partnered with the Uganda Institute of Information and Communications Technology (UICT) and Cerfodes, who are at the heart of developing the next generation of tech talent.
Bridging the gap between global trends and local application, the Google Developers Group (GDG) Kampala brought a crucial perspective on developer ecosystems and grassroots innovation. This was complemented by the intellectual and strategic backbone provided by the Evidence and Methods Lab (EML) and the Collaboration on International ICT Policy for East and Southern Africa (CIPESA), who ensured the discussions were grounded in data and focused on creating an inclusive, rights-respecting digital space.
The private sector is the engine of the digital economy, and we thank Soliton Telmec for its leadership in building our foundational infrastructure and BrighterMonday Uganda for underscoring the ultimate goal of creating meaningful employment opportunities.
Finally, this national dialogue was amplified by the platforms of Next Media, with NBS Television serving as the home for the conversation, extended by the digital reach of AfroMobile, and strengthened by Next Creata. This powerful coalition is truly helping to create what’s next for Uganda.
