Archbishop Lwanga called upon Ugandans to work together to ensure peaceful and inclusive elections.

Lwanga was preaching during the New Year prayers at Sacred Heard of Mary Cathedral Lubaga on Friday. said: “It is possible to have peaceful elections if we put the love of our country first. We should not chase our own goals, but those for the interests of all of us as a country.”

He called everyone to respect each other. We are all different but we should respect each other and we can work together for the betterment of our country.

He said, “We must be able to treat others the way we would have wanted to be treated. We must all respect one another for this country to go ahead.

He said this is a beautiful country that we need to protect as we preserve the environment.
