Africa-Press – Uganda. Centenary Bank has reaffirmed its position as a leading digital-first financial institution after winning four major accolades at the Digital Impact Awards Africa (DIAA) 2025, one of the continent’s premier platforms celebrating digital excellence and financial innovation.

The Bank scooped three gold awards in the categories of Digital Brand of the Year, Digital Banking Excellence, and Banking Innovation Excellence, and a diamond award for Community/MFI Banking Excellence.

These achievements underline Centenary Bank’s continued investment in digital transformation, customer-centric solutions, and technology-driven financial inclusion.

Speaking about the milestone, Michael Bulyerali, Manager Digital Marketing and Communications, said the recognition affirms the bank’s commitment to delivering simple, secure, and transformative digital banking experiences.

“Over the years, we have reimagined how our customers interact with the bank—whether through mobile, agent banking, or online platforms such as Internet Banking. These awards show that our digital strategy is empowering millions of Ugandans every day,” Bulyerali noted.

Centenary Bank continues to expand its digital footprint through channels such as the CenteMobile App, Internet Banking, CenteAgents, and the recently launched Interswitch QuickTeller Agent Service, a partnership aimed at advancing financial inclusion by extending access to banking services in urban and rural communities.

Commenting on the achievement, Beatrice Lugalambi, General Manager Corporate Communications and Marketing, applauded customers and partners for their trust and support.

“Winning four awards at the Digital Impact Awards Africa is both humbling and inspiring. It reflects the confidence our customers place in us and the dedication of our team, which continues to innovate with purpose. These awards truly belong to the people we serve,” Lugalambi said.

Centenary Bank says it remains committed to accelerating Uganda’s financial inclusion agenda by championing innovation, strengthening digital security, and developing products that meet the evolving needs of customers across all market segments.
