Forum for Democratic Change ( FDC) says it has set up an election monitoring brigade to deter vote-rigging in the coming elections.
FDC president Patrick Oboi Amuriat revealed that personnel for the brigade is being drawn from all over the country and they are confident it will be highly effective against rigging.
“We have built a good network over the last 16 years and maintained it,” he said.
He said, however, that they are disturbed by a build of military personnel in several parts of the country.
“We are seeing a lot of machinations from Mr. Museveni; soldiers are being deployed all over,” he said as he campaigned in Buhweju ahead of the January 14 general elections.
