Garbage Collector Wins Toyota Noah in Rock Boom Promo

Africa-Press – Uganda. From collecting garbage on Kampala’s streets to cruising in a brand-new Toyota Noah, Ibrahim Kigozi’s life took an extraordinary turn this week, thanks to the ongoing Rock Boom Season 2 promotion by Hariss International.

Kigozi, who works with Nabugabo Updeal Venture, was handed the keys to his new car in a joyful ceremony held at the company’s Lubaga offices.

Surrounded by excited colleagues, community members, and representatives from Hariss International, the moment marked a powerful testament to the life-changing impact of local promotions.

“This is a proud moment for us as a company. Ibrahim is one of our most dedicated staff,” said Ssonko Abubakari, spokesperson for Nabugabo Updeal Venture.

“His win is not just personal—it is a win for the entire Nabugabo team.”

Anthony Osika, speaking on behalf of Hariss International, confirmed that Kigozi is one of many lucky winners in the Rock Boom “Boom Kyakala Vimba nga Kinawolovu” campaign, which has gained nationwide attention for its lavish giveaways.

“We are proud to see our campaign making a real difference in the lives of everyday Ugandans,” Osika said.

“So far, we have handed out prizes worth over Shs 5 billion since the campaign began in March. And we are just getting started.”

The promotion, now in its second season, offers an array of prizes including Toyota Noahs, motorcycles, smartphones, flat-screen TVs, branded hoodies, and cash prizes ranging from Shs250,000 to Shs1 million.

Participation is simple: consumers buy a bottle of Rock Boom energy drink and check under the cap for instant prizes.

Samuel Hooper, Head of Marketing at Hariss International, said the promotion is a way to reward resilience and everyday effort.

“Rock Boom is about celebrating resilience and rewarding those who never give up. Last year, over two million people won. This year, we’re going even bigger,” Hooper said.

Kigozi’s win has energized both his workplace and his community. From the streets he once cleaned to the driver’s seat of his new vehicle, his story has inspired many, including his employers, who thanked Hariss International for keeping their promise.

As the “Boom Kyakala” campaign rolls on across Uganda, Hariss International continues to urge consumers to keep drinking Rock Boom and checking under the cap for their chance to win life-changing prizes—just like Ibrahim Kigozi.
