Africa-Press – Uganda. Ian Rumanyika has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer of Node Group, a PR, marketing, and digital communications agency in Uganda.
His appointment comes at a pivotal time as the company embarks on its next phase of growth, innovation, and expanded impact across Africa’s communications landscape.
Rumanyika, an award-winning communications strategist, brings over 15 years of experience in public relations, corporate communications, and change management.
His expertise spans both public and private sectors, with a proven track record of delivering high-impact communication strategies that enhance institutional visibility, credibility, and stakeholder trust.
His leadership is expected to strengthen Node Group’s mission of providing strategic, result-oriented marketing, storytelling, and communications solutions rooted in excellence and innovation.
Recognized among Uganda’s Top 40 Under 40 communicators by Vision Group and ranked among the Top 100 Global PR Influencers by Commentary International, Rumanyika is no stranger to Africa’s communications space.
His contributions to the industry were further acknowledged in 2022 when he received the Eagles Award in East Africa from the University of Nairobi.
Rumanyika is also a Change Communications Specialist with the European Union under DAI-Global, where he has led strategic corporate communications and Change management initiatives in Nigeria, Rwanda, Zambia, Malawi, and Kenya and across multiple African countries.
His advisory and consultancy roles have spanned high-profile institutions such as the GIZ, USAID, Melinda and Gates Foundation, GAIN, National Planning Authority including SCIO-Network.
Among other institutions are the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning, Uganda Revenue Authority (URA), the Electoral Commission of Uganda, the Petroleum Authority of Uganda, Uganda Airlines, the Private Sector Foundation Uganda, SEATINI and the Uganda Manufacturers Association.
The latest brands he has changed include URA where he changed the face of the Revenue Authority and served as Assistant commissioner Public and Corporate Affairs.
The recent brand is Uganda Baati, where he served as Head of External and Corporate Affairs and played a key role in improving the organizations’ public image, stakeholder engagement, and communications effectiveness.
At Node Group, Rumanyika will oversee the agency’s broad service offering, including market research, Public relations, Policy advocacy for the Private and Public sectors, digital marketing, Change Management and communications, creative and campaign development, as well as professional training.
His expertise in media relations, brand storytelling, stakeholder engagement, and thought leadership development is expected to drive the agency’s strategic direction.
Speaking about his vision for Node Group, Rumanyika emphasized his commitment to innovation and storytelling.
