Africa-Press – Uganda. The ISACA Kampala Chapter has announced the 14th Annual East Africa Information Security Conference, set to run from September 29 to October 3, 2025, at Speke Resort Munyonyo and Conference Centre.

The announcement was made Tuesday at a press briefing held at Fairway Hotel in Kampala, attended by cybersecurity professionals, regulators, technology leaders, academia, and ecosystem partners.

The launch was presided over by Ms. Christine Nalubowa, representing Mr. Arnold Mangeni, Director of Information Security at NITA-U. Running under the theme “Thriving in the Era of Disruptive Technology,” the five-day conference will feature masterclasses, hands-on training workshops, keynote addresses, panel discussions, and thematic sessions on artificial intelligence, cloud security, and digital trust.

Maurice Taremwa, President of ISACA Kampala Chapter, underscored the importance of building resilience in the face of rapid technological disruption.

“These days, most of our lives are online. Being cyber secure is very important; you want to be sure your information is confidential and that your transactions are secure,” he said. “Digital trust and accountability are key. Technology has disrupted manufacturing, finance, media, and health. Every enterprise must ask how to thrive, how to offer better services, and how to reach wider audiences.”

The conference is organized by ISACA Kampala with support from the Ministry of ICT and National Guidance, Liquid Telecom, NITA-U, UICT, Sentinel, Seacom, ICTAU, and NR Tech Solutions.
