Africa-Press – Uganda. In a remarkable display of academic excellence and teamwork, students from Kabojja International School in Uganda have emerged victorious at the World Scholars Cup Finals held in Dubai this December.

The triumphant team arrived at Entebbe Airport aboard Uganda Airlines, proudly carrying an impressive haul of 7 trophies and 69 medals, comprising 28 gold and 41 silver medals.

The students participated in a range of challenging activities, including debate competitions, collaborative writing, and the Scholars Challenge, among others.

Their outstanding performance is a testament to their hard work, dedication, and exceptional academic abilities.

The World Scholars Cup is a prestigious international academic competition that brings together top students from around the globe to compete in various events.

The competition aims to inspire and recognize academic excellence, as well as foster critical thinking, creativity, and teamwork among participants.

According to Dastan Akankunda, a teacher and coach at Kabojja International School, the school’s remarkable achievement serves as a shining example of Uganda’s growing academic prowess on the global stage.

The school’s commitment to academic excellence and its students’ outstanding performance have earned them recognition and accolades, both locally and internationally.

“We are so privileged to say that we didn’t come back as we left. As always said, Kabojja is a center of excellence, and we strive to achieve. We trained most of our students, and as you see, we have achieved,” Akankunda stated.

He added, “As the students returned home to a hero’s welcome, their achievement is expected to inspire and motivate other students in Uganda to strive for academic excellence and pursue their dreams with passion and determination.”

Ariena Nyonyozi Katutsi, a student, said, “We are thrilled to have represented Uganda on the global stage and brought home such an impressive haul of trophies and medals. It’s an experience we’ll never forget!”

“This experience has taught me so much about perseverance, teamwork, and believing in myself. I’m grateful for the opportunity to have participated in the World Scholars Cup,” Nyonyozi added.

“We were nervous at first, but as the competition progressed, we gained confidence and momentum. It’s an incredible feeling to know that our hard work paid off.”
