Africa-Press – Uganda. Students from Kabojja International School have brought glory to Uganda by excelling at the World Scholars Cup Finals held in Dubai this December.
The team returned home triumphant, carrying an impressive haul of seven trophies and 69 medals—28 gold and 41 silver—cementing their place among the world’s top academic achievers.
The team landed at Entebbe airport aboard Uganda Airlines, where they were treated to a hero’s welcome.
Their victory follows rigorous competition in various academic events, including debates, collaborative writing, and the scholars challenge.
Their stellar performance underscored their hard work, dedication, and intellectual brilliance.
The World Scholars Cup is a renowned global academic event that attracts students from across the world to compete in disciplines that test creativity, critical thinking, and teamwork.
Kabojja International School’s participation and victory highlight Uganda’s growing prominence in global academic competitions.
Dastan Akankunda, a teacher and coach at the school, praised the team’s achievement as a beacon of excellence.
“Kabojja continues to uphold its reputation as a centre of excellence. We trained our students extensively, and their dedication has paid off. This victory is a testament to what focused preparation and determination can achieve,” he said.
Student Ariena Nyonyozi Katutsi expressed her excitement at representing Uganda on an international stage.
“We are thrilled to have brought home such an impressive collection of trophies and medals. This experience taught us about perseverance, teamwork, and believing in ourselves. It’s something we’ll cherish forever.”
