Africa-Press – Uganda. Robert Kasibante, the National Peasants Party (NPP) presidential candidate, has intensified his grassroots campaign in Kiboga District, calling on residents to trust his leadership and vote for change in the 2026 general elections.
Opting for intimate dialogues over large rallies, Kasibante engaged citizens at markets and informal gatherings, presenting a vision for a revitalized Uganda. He highlighted pressing national challenges, including poor road infrastructure, the struggling education sector, and widespread economic hardship, promising targeted interventions to improve livelihoods and support marginalized communities.
Kasibante urged voters to participate fully in the elections and safeguard their ballots, emphasizing a fair and transparent process. At Bukomero market, he pledged to improve market infrastructure, providing traders protection from harsh weather, reflecting his commitment to tangible community improvements.
The NPP leader also revealed plans for systemic reforms, including removing ministers and Resident District Commissioners accused of mismanaging public funds, signaling a focus on accountability and fiscal responsibility.
In a notable show of political collaboration, Kasibante encouraged residents to also support NUP leader Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, highlighting shared goals among opposition parties to challenge the incumbent effectively.
Kasibante’s campaign in Kiboga has so far proceeded peacefully, with his trail set to continue to Kyankwanzi District, as he seeks to galvanize voter turnout and present a credible alternative to the current leadership.
