The Archbishop of the Church of Uganda, his Grace Rev. Stephen Kaziimba Mugalu has called upon all Ugandans to promote peace and have respect for one another in 2021.

While preaching the Gospel at Namirembe Cathedral, Kaziimba urged Christians to have circumcision of the heart instead of circumcision of the body.

” There is no need for circumcision of the body but spiritual circumcision which calls for renewal and repentance so that we can walk with Jesus together.”

According to the Archbishop, this year God is calling us to have changed minds even when we enter into elections.

Kazimba said, “Unless the heart is changed, we cannot have a peaceful election. God is calling us to change.”

He added that when you see violence, killings, know God is asking everyone including the Archbishop to have a spiritual circumcision so that we become new.

He urged Christians to fight everything that brings hate. Let us take the direction of being converted and accept Jesus as the focus of whatever we are doing.
