Africa-Press – Uganda. Africa’s top innovative smartphone manufacturer and global technology leader, Tecno has launched the Camon 50 series on the Ugandan market.
The pair which includes the Camon 50 and Camon 50 Pro was launched during a function held at Skyz Hotel in Naguru.
“This is the latest device to replace Camon 40. The Camon 50 comes with a dual camera setup on the rear, which includes a 50MP main shooter with a 1/1.56-inch sensor and OIS. This is supported by an 8MP ultrawide lens,” said Bruce Dickson, the product consultant at TECNO Uganda.
He added that the Camon 50 Pro variant comes with the same setup, but with the addition of a third camera.
“This is a 50MP telephoto unit with 3x zoom. For selfies, both the base and Pro models use a 32MP front snapper.”
According to officials, both phones are equipped with MediaTek’s Helio G200 Ultimate chipset paired with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage.
Both phones boot HiOS 16 based on Android 16 and Tecno’s AI suite. The pair also share 6,150mAh batteries with 45W wired charging as well as IP69K/IP69/IP68 ingress protection.
