Africa-Press – Uganda. The Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Thomas Tayebwa, on Wednesday received a courtesy visit from China’s Ambassador to Uganda, H.E Zhang Lizhong.

The meeting focused on strengthening cooperation between Uganda and China in various areas, including infrastructure, energy, agriculture, health, education, and technology.

During the meeting, Tayebwa expressed gratitude for China’s continued support to Uganda, describing it as “immense.” “I thanked him for his country’s continued immense support to Uganda,” Tayebwa said.

China has been one of Uganda’s most important diplomatic partners, with significant collaboration in key sectors.

The two sides discussed matters of mutual cooperation, highlighting the strong partnership between Uganda and China.

China has supported Uganda in various areas, including infrastructure development, energy, agriculture, health, education, and technology. Notably, China remains Uganda’s major trading partner.

China’s support has been instrumental in Uganda’s infrastructure development, including roads, bridges, and energy projects. The partnership has also contributed to Uganda’s economic growth and development.
