Africa-Press – Uganda. Uganda and Qatar have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral ties and expanding economic cooperation.
The Minister of State for Foreign Affairs (International Affairs), Henry Okello Oryem, held a bilateral meeting with Ahmed Mohammed Abdulrahman Abdullah Al Zwaidi, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Uganda.
During the meeting, Okello Oryem reaffirmed Uganda’s commitment to deepening cooperation with Qatar, citing the country’s stability, security, and conducive investment environment as key attractions for investors.
Ambassador Al Zwaidi praised Uganda’s natural beauty, referencing his recent visit to Murchison Falls, and commended the well-developed road network beyond Kampala.
He expressed Qatar’s readiness to operationalize pending Memoranda of Understanding and to engage in key sectors such as agriculture and manufacturing, leveraging Uganda’s strong growth potential.
Both parties expressed optimism about further strengthening bilateral relations and exploring new areas of cooperation.
