Africa-Press – Uganda. The United Nations Security Council has pledged to extend financial support to maintain the East African regional force currently operating in the troubled Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo. The Security Council members were meeting the Secretary General of the East African Community Dr Peter Mathuki in New York where the matter was discussed.
