Water Supply Disruption Expected in Kampala East Zone

Africa-Press – Uganda. The Management of National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC) – Kampala Water has announced that water supply will be interrupted on Wednesday, January 18, 2026, from 8am. to 7pm.

The disruption is a result of planned emergency works by the Uganda Electricity Transmission Company Limited (UETCL) along the Mukono-Namanve power line.

Water production and supply schedules will be affected in several areas, including Katosi, Kisoga, Mukono, Seeta, Mbalala, Namugongo, Namanve, Sonde, parts of Kireka, Kamuli, Kyaliwajala, Bulindo, Nsasa, Mulawa, Nabusugwe, Kitukutwe, Naalya, Ntinda, Kisaasi, Najeera, Luteete, Gayaza, parts of Kamwokya, Mbuya, Mutungo, Kitintale, Matugga, and surrounding neighborhoods.

NWSC has advised customers to store sufficient water and use it sparingly during the downtime.

The corporation apologizes for the inconvenience and urges residents to plan accordingly.
