Africa-Press – Zimbabwe. Highlanders Football Club has confirmed that Kindman Ndlovu will remain in his position as interim Chief Executive Officer, following the withdrawal of his resignation.
Ndlovu, who took over the role in April this year, had tendered his resignation last week, citing a fallout with the club’s treasurer, Nkani Khoza.
He accused Khoza of fostering a hostile working environment and deliberately undermining club operations. However, in a statement issued on Tuesday, 1 July, the club announced that Ndlovu had since retracted his resignation and offered a formal apology to both Khoza and to the broader Highlanders institution. The statement reads:
Highlanders Football Club would like to inform its stakeholders that, after successful engagement, Executive Member for Technical and Development Kindman Ndlovu remains the Acting CEO until a substantive appointment is made.
Mr. Ndlovu has retracted his resignation letter and issued an apology to the Executive Member for Finance, Nkani Khoza, as well as to the club at large, for any inconvenience caused by the unintended public leak of his resignation.
The club leadership emphasises its commitment to peace, tranquillity, mutual respect, and upholding the Highlanders brand.
