Africa-Press – Zimbabwe. Two people were killed on Saturday afternoon in a road traffic accident along the Harare-Masvingo Highway, police have confirmed.
The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) said the crash occurred at the 58-kilometre peg around 2 PM on 12 July 2025.
A Toyota Allion heading towards Harare reportedly veered off the road and struck the trailer of a Mercedes Benz Sprinter that was travelling in the opposite direction towards Masvingo.
The Allion had two occupants at the time of the collision, while the Sprinter was carrying ten passengers.
Both occupants of the Toyota Allion died at the scene. Their bodies were taken to Beatrice Hospital mortuary for post-mortem.
Police did not immediately confirm the identities of the deceased or whether any of the Sprinter passengers sustained injuries.
