Africa-Press – Zimbabwe. ONE of Zimbabwe’s fastest-growing betting houses, Bet247, celebrated the conclusion of its inaugural English Premier League (EPL) Fantasy League competition by presenting prizes to the top three winners at their offices in Harare on Saturday.

The competition, which ran throughout the 2024/2025 EPL season, saw a massive turnout with over 1 000 enthusiastic managers battling for the top honours.

The stakes were high, with a total prize pool of US$1 750 distributed among the top three finishers.

The champion received a grand prize of US$1 000, while the runner-up took home US$500, and the third-place finisher got US$250.

Hansen Bvumai emerged as the overall winner, accumulating an impressive 2 561 points throughout the season.

He finished a comfortable 43 points ahead of second-placed finisher Marshall Mudzudzu, who amassed 2 518 points.

Harrison Sibanda rounded out the top three with a score of 2 471 points.

Mudzudzu was the only one of the top three winners able to attend the prize-giving ceremony on Saturday.

He expressed his delight at being among the inaugural winners.

“I am delighted to be one of the winners of the Bet247 Fantasy League competition. I am grateful to the owners of Bet247 for creating such a competition,” Mudzudzu said.

“It’s my first time winning such a huge prize amounting to US$500 in Fantasy League. I want to encourage others to join this year.

“It costs nothing, just data on your phone, and you can end up winning big like this. For me, this time around, I am aiming for the top spot after finishing number two last season.”

Bet247 manager Tafadzwa Mukumbi highlighted the success of the competition and encouraged more people to participate in the upcoming season.

“The competition began at the start of the 2024/2025 season and ran throughout. It attracted a lot of enthusiastic EPL Fantasy League managers, with over a thousand taking part,” Mukumbi stated.

“There was some exciting and tough competition, and in the end, only the top three walked away with the prizes.”

With the new EPL season having just kicked off over the weekend, Mukumbi extended an invitation to all fantasy managers to join the new Bet247 EPL Fantasy League, promising that this year’s competition will be bigger and better.

She also invited all punters to come and experience what Bet247 has to offer.
