Africa-Press – Zimbabwe. The Corporate Governance and Accounting Institute in Zimbabwe (CGAIZ) annual conference to be held in Victoria Falls from September 17 to 20 is expected to set the stage for Zimbabwe’s economic rebound.
The conference, to be held at the iconic Elephant Hills, is bringing together thought leaders, policymakers and industry professionals to chart a bold path toward Zimbabwe’s economic revival.
Running under the theme “Inspire, Innovate, Sustain: Charting the Course for Zimbabwe’s Economic Rebound”, the event promises a dynamic blend of strategic dialogue, expert insights and collaborative action.
The conference will spotlight the critical role of governance, ethics and sustainability in rebuilding resilient institutions and unlocking national potential.
The keynote address will be delivered by Women Affairs, Community, Small and Medium Enterprises Development minister Monica Mutsvangwa.
Her presentation, titled “Global Lessons in Economic Revival: Governance at the Core,” is expected to set a powerful tone for the proceedings, drawing on international best practices and local imperatives.
CGAIZ chief executive and secretary Lovemore Gomera emphasised the urgency and relevance of this year’s theme.
“Zimbabwe stands at a pivotal moment. We must inspire bold leadership, innovate across sectors and sustain reforms that drive inclusive growth,” he said.
“Corporate governance is not a luxury but the backbone of economic resilience. This conference is a rallying point for professionals who believe in rebuilding with integrity and foresight.”
Gomera added that CGAIZ is proud to convene voices that matter, from regulators to entrepreneurs, from sustainability champions to financial experts.
“Together, we will explore how ethical leadership and strategic partnerships can transform our economy and restore public trust,” he added.
The speaker line-up features a distinguished array of experts including Taurai Marembo, Charles Shava, Samuel Mutsekete, Florid Mashonga, Madeline Ronquest, Rose Nhamo, Christopher Mugaga, Freeman Nomvalo and Owen Mavengere.
