Police Launch Manhunt for Four Suspects in Gokwe Murder

Africa-Press – Zimbabwe. Police in Gokwe, Midlands Province, have launched a manhunt for four suspects in connection with the murder of a local villager on 25 October 2025.

In a statement, the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) appealed to the public to provide any information that could lead to the arrest of Blessed Gwinya, Loyal Mpofu, Wuzu Moyo, and Munashe Makore. Members of the public are urged to report to the nearest police station.

The suspects are alleged to have killed 47-year-old Nelson Silemba in Fandwana Village. According to the police, the group attacked Silemba with machetes, axes, and knives.

The motive appears to be retaliation, as the suspects accused him of being responsible for their conviction and the fining of two cattle at the chief’s court in Gokwe over a previous assault case, in which one suspect allegedly cut the victim’s finger.
