Africa-Press – Zimbabwe. Highlanders Football Club has been rocked by the sudden resignation of its Acting Chief Executive Officer, Kindman Ndlovu, who stepped down on June 26, 2025, citing internal conflict and reputational damage stemming from a strained relationship with a senior executive.
In a resignation letter addressed to Club Chairman Kenneth Mhlophe and copied to several senior officials, Ndlovu expressed deep frustration over what he described as ongoing interference and lack of trust from the club’s Executive Member for Finance, N. Khoza.
He alleged that Khoza frequently challenged documented resolutions from official executive committee meetings and appeared to be running a campaign to discredit fellow club officials.
Among the issues raised in the letter were claims of unauthorised staff interviews, improper requests for sensitive information without prior consultation, and attempts to access the CEO’s office, which is also used for filing critical club records.
Ndlovu warned that such conduct posed a serious risk to the integrity and smooth functioning of Highlanders’ operations. Said Ndlovu:
It is… unfortunate that in the 10 weeks or so that I have acted as CEO, I have worked with an executive member Finance who seems to be keen to tarnish the names of certain individuals within the club.
Mr. N Khoza has several times denied knowledge of issues or resolutions discussed or made in properly constituted executive committee meetings which he also attends—even in the presence of meeting minutes that I prepare and get reviewed and confirmed as true records of the meeting…
I am more worried with the recent trend by Mr. Khoza of requesting access to the office of the CEO, which also doubles up as a filing room for key documents that have in the past gone missing or been adjusted.
He also warned of what he described as a “trap” set for the club’s CEO, alleging that Khoza frequently pushed for decisions to be made without his involvement, only to later disassociate himself from the consequences.
