Africa-Press – Zimbabwe. Police in Mazowe have launched an investigation into a deadly explosion at Kwayedza Investments Mine, where two men lost their lives. The incident occurred on 11 July 2025.
According to the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP), the explosion happened as the victims, whose identities are yet to be disclosed, were warming themselves by a fire.
One man reportedly died at the scene, while the other succumbed to his injuries shortly after being rushed to a medical facility in Concession.
The exact cause of the explosion remains unknown, and police have confirmed that investigations are ongoing.
